HHMI Medical Research Fellows Program
The year-long fellowships will begin in the summer of 2013 and are open to students currently enrolled in US medical schools. Students should have previous research experience and a strong interest in infectious disease. MD/PhD students are not eligible to apply. NOTE: the application deadline for the 2013-2014 academic year is January 11, 2013.
The HHMI Medical Research Fellows Program enables medical students at schools located in the U.S. to spend a year conducting basic, translational, or applied biomedical research. HHMI and its partner organizations will award up to 77 fellowships for 2013-2014. Fellows will receive a stipend of $29,000, and allowances totaling an additional $11,000.
